Default Flopped top pair in a multiway hand...

Last hand I'll post for tonite.

Party 0.5-1, nine-handed

Here are my notes on a couple of the players. (1st line are things I saw preflop, all-caps line are directives to myself on how to play against this player, all the rest are things I saw postflop)

UTG:
any 2 cards,cold calls (87o)
VALUE BET THIS MAN + CALL THIS MAN DOWN
flop calls w/1 overcard
calls down K-high
calls down Q-high multiway?!
river shots w/bp+nk if turn checked thru
flop stabber w/2nd pr +nk multiway on coordinated board
turn shots K-high into dry side pot

CO:
cold calls (JTo,A3o)

Here's the hand.

I have A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the button.
UTG limps, EP limps. Two folds. LP limps, CO limps. I raise. The blinds fold. Everyone calls.

5 to the flop of J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (11.5 SB).
UTG bets. Everyone calls.

5 to the turn of K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (8.25 BB)
Checked to CO who bets. What do you do?

Raise. The pot is pretty big, and there are a variety of hands you'd like to see fold. Even if you are behind, you have outs.

Edit: P.S. nice read on UTG.

7 outs if the hearts are dirty. From your read it doesn't sound like the blind will check-raise. Easy call.

UTG had T7o. CO had KJo. I thought I had 3 outs, maybe to a chop. So I folded.

Any comments on the flop "just call"?

I like the flop call. Raise any safe turn card.
After the turn bet by CO you have to at least call. You're getting 9.25-to-1 and have the Qs as outs and maybe the Aces and Js. I would call.
River, if unimproved we can probably fold to COs bet but we'll have to see the action.

Why not raise the flop? You have TPTK in a multiway pot and you have everyone trapped.

Grunch

I RR the flop. You have the best hand the majority of the time. If CO still bets the turn w/ the K I still would call. Any non heart Q gives you the nuts and a A or J will likely win it for you too. If you are unimporoved on the river fold to a bet.

You know, I'm trying to remember my reasoning and I think it has to do with the equity swing that could take place on the next card. 1/3 of the deck is bad for us (any heart, any T, Q or K). When a blank falls on the turn we will have a lot more equity and raising there will benefit us more than it will on the flop.

I would fold. You have few outs and players to act behind you.

Raise the flop. Hopefully it is check to you on the turn, but since your at party you probably arent going to have that luxury.
