I'm pretty new to cash NL. (I'm struggling to decide if I can work on studying both SNG and NL cash at the same time or if I should just pick one.) [/ QUOTE ] Personally, I would stick to one until you get comfortable (both in terms of skill and bankroll). [ QUOTE ] At what point do you recommend refilling to a full stack? [/ QUOTE ] I refill as soon as I drop below the max buy-in, even after just paying the small blind. |

[ QUOTE ] FWIW, the last time I made this same call holding QQ in this exact same spot the guy in UTG+1's spot showed me AA. PS-Refill to a full stack. [/ QUOTE ] I'm pretty new to cash NL. [/ QUOTE ] I refill every time I post a blind or lose a pot, no matter how small. Eventually, I end up over the max buy-in, even in a losing session. I just hate having a big hand vs a deep opponent and finding myself with anything less than the max buy-in. |

I would push here given the action. UTG would certainly re-pop all in with Aces or Kings, and UTG +1 prob. called with a highish pocket pair or AK.
I am very reluctant to get all in with queens before the flop, but I don't think this is the time given the players or action to make a "big laydown" with queens. |

Both you and UTG+1 are pretty short-stacked, so I'd push to try and get UTG to pot-commit with a weak hand that he feels committed to since the pot is now big, and the all-in raise is relatively small. I wouldn't be surprised if I'd need a set to beat UTG+1, but I just don't see folding for $8.84 more.
No need to play short-stacked. Rebuy when you get low. |

As for the hand, hold your nose and call. [/ QUOTE ] I started playing last fall, (literally), almost exclusively SNG and MTT. My game there has improved, but I now realize there's just so much I have to learn about pushing, bubble play, etc. in order to be really successful at it. In general I've only played rings when I need points until the last month or so. Then I run like I did on Party on Monday, (398 hands at 51.44/100), (which I know is totally running hot, I'm at 13.66/100 over 1500 hands since I got PT), and SSNL seems like it could be a lot of fun! I do have the bankroll on Party to give 25NL a shot. |
