Pocket 2s on a dry flop
I know PF is questionable but the table has been fairly passive preflop, and I have some chips to toss around. This guy is mega loose pf.

Re: Pocket 2s on a dry flop
Is this hand stupid? If this is just dumb spewing on my part I'd like to know instead of people just clicking and then ignoring.
Thanks all. |

Re: Pocket 2s on a dry flop
UTG......ballsy,but with one caller i like firing the second bullet. If he wants to see another card make him pay for it.The question is not how you got into this situation, but how you are gonna get out a winner

Re: Pocket 2s on a dry flop
What range do you have him on pre-flop here?
I like the second barrel FWIW. Chances are you still have the best hand. Although I am pretty much done if he calls the turn. |

Re: Pocket 2s on a dry flop
I like the firing of a second barrel here. Calling with a King-rag on the flop would have been pretty loose on their part if you ask me. If he's holding a couple of Broadway cards that include a king you might be in trouble but at least you'll know that going into the river with turn bet like that. I'd probably try to check down if he calls the turn but thats just me and I tend to be folding alot on river scare cards in situations like this. If he's holding another PP I think he's being gutsy with two hearts on the board and no reraises unless it's 7s/3s as unlikey as those are.

Re: Pocket 2s on a dry flop
I think preflop would be questionable if everyone had you covered. With most of the stacks at the table I think it's pretty much an auto-fold. You'd have to get action absurdly often to play for set value against 15-20BB stacks. Considering the number of times you get raised out of the hand preflop (even at a passive table), it just isn't worth it.
But, meh, you're there. So are you betting for value or bluffing on the turn? It sounds like you're bluffing, but why bluff a loose player who likes his hand? Hoping maybe he has 66 or something? If you're betting for value it's extremely thin, since the equity you pick up from the flush draw probably doesn't compensate for all the times you are pretty much DOA (3x, 7x, 88, etc). |
