Drunk maniac and overcaller pf spot
Online 10-20, effective stacks 2k. Drunk maniac (DM) is a very good player and a big winner, but now he is also wasted. He came in and started to raise basicly every hand to 4-500 pf and hasnt been called yet.
So I limp utg with QQ, folds to DM in MP and he makes it 500 straight. Now, button calls the 500 bet. No real read on button, but he appears solid. Folds to hero. If I push Iīm 99 % sure DM will call. DM realises people are just waiting to take a shot at him, but 2k nl is low for him and he is willing to gamble. If his range isnīt any two it certainly includes 67s. What do you do with QQ here and how easy is the decision? Whatīs the lowest you would push? |

I couldn't click the push button any faster in this situation. Hopefully the other guy folds his AJ or w/e.

Re: Drunk maniac and overcaller pf spot
No other choice than push. You're almost surely ahead and you dont want to do any thinking when flop contains an A or K.
Since DM range is gigantic, Button range is big as well. Expect him to fold and you to be heads up with DM. Perfect. |

Re: Drunk maniac and overcaller pf spot
Interesting decision. Of course pushing against DM is a no brainer. Typically my lowest number here is 99, although I've been known to do it with AKs and AK, kind of depending on my mood.
The interesting situation is the Button. He's got to be aware that your limp gives you the opportunity to see what the rest of the table does before committing yourself. For the Button to call here with you left to act is a real question mark. He could easily have AA, KK, QQ, AKs, or even AK and call the push after DM calls. My concern here is why the button calls instead of pushing to to keep you out. Normally if the button can call he can raise, so why is he smooth calling? I don't want to out-think my self, and when that starts to happen I just push. I'm also thinking you're a 2-1 favorite to see a flop that doesn't contain an A or K. I might call and push a flop with no A or K. |

Btw, forgot to mention this was full ring.
Yea I was a bit worried about button. What could a solid player call 500 in that spot? |
