Playing small pairs

hope this is the right place for my question.
I only play texas hold no limit max 6 cash games 2/2 and 4/4, sometimes 10/10 $.

How to handle in general with small pairs from 88 to 22, if Im on the button, one raiser 5xBB early pos. and one caller ?
Same situation, but Im now BB or SB ?
