How profitable is the 10/20 and 20/40 NL at commerce game?
Hi,
I recently played at the Bellagio where there were 4 old men sitting around w/ 10k+ stacks sitting around at a full table limp fold limp fold like they have all the time in the world. I didn't have enough patient because I was thinking of how much money I was losing by not multi-tabling the 2k game on Party. Besides my Bellagio experience, I have never played deep-stack poker before so I do not know what the hourly average is or what I should be expecting in terms of bb/hr if I am an average, above-average player, or great player. Thanks. |

the 10-20? extremely. the 20-40? it depends. at times its been amazing, but at others i just played 10-20 instead bc all the locals were playing. most dont play that great, but well enough. |

I have played the 20/40 once for two days. Play was horrible. No real maniacs just alot of loose passives and weak tight pros. People just don't/can't fold any type of hand. I would estimate it being as hard as some 2/4 games online (probably even easier).

wow. sounds like you were there at a good time.
the first night i played that game, it was sickly soft. like you said, 2-4 [censored]. the second night it was completely nuts. a guy bobby ( a real estate multi millionare) was in for over 50k and his stats were prob something like 65-35-6. the whole game was amped and really really deep. 5 with over 25k, 3 with 15 and others with lesser stacks. great game. the other times were very rock gardenish, kinda blah and everyone knew eachother and was softplaying and exposing cards and throwing back limper's calls if they raised and everyone else folded. not really shady, but just a bad atmosphere for a game, so i left. cant wait to play them again soon. |

[ QUOTE ]
say you played only when the games were somewhere between the two times you described...as in not when its horrible but also can't find the great game everday obv...what hourly rate could a good player expect in that and the 10/20 game? [/ QUOTE ] Can't beat online... which is one reason why the games are probably so soft. I'm sure some live pros might disagree but they usually don't have any empirical data to back up their random $/hr claims. That being said I'm curious to hear what FSU thinks about those games. Also what is the rake structure there? |

Re: How profitable is the 10/20 and 20/40 NL at commerce game?
i dont know, its so hard to say.
i never won any real big pots, but a steady serving of small-med. sized pots, and i only got sucked out bad a couple times. so i think i ran about average-slightly above avg. while there. that all being said, i would think $150-200/hr is possible. the 10-20 games are very soft. if you find a bad one, just ask for a table change. i dont have enough hrs logged in these games to give any kinda of good estimate though. |

that all being said, i would think $150-200/hr is possible. [/ QUOTE ] If they are getting 33 hands/hr that is 11-15bb/100. That seems pretty high. I guess when you get deep stacked against morons you can pull down some big numbers though. |
