Bet, or Induce River Bluff
Have never seen SB before. Doesn't have many chips left though.
Full Tilt Poker Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $1/$2 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls, Hero checks. Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5SB, 5 players) SB checks, Hero bets, 3 folds, SB calls. Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3.5BB, 2 players) SB checks, Hero checks. River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3.5BB, 2 players) SB bets, Hero calls. Results: Final pot: 5.5BB Questions; 1. Should I be betting into such a large field on the flop? 2. Should I have bet the turn? (My intention was to avoid an obvious check-raise.. Who else calls on this flop besides a slowplaying ace?) 3. River is standard, I assume. |

Re: Bet, or Induce River Bluff
i would bet the turn.
and I'm really not sure on calling that particular river, all the gutshots just got there and the pot isn't that big. you're probably hoping for a split or that he peeled with nothing and is bluffing, a lot of players just try to get a showdown with made hands that you beat. |

Re: Bet, or Induce River Bluff
Am I the only one check/folding the flop?
1/2 6max, 5 players to the flop i'm pretty sure there is an A out there |

I'm bet/folding the turn here. [/ QUOTE ] I like this, but against a guy you see a lot in the same game, metagame considerations require that at least SOMETIMES we do something different. Else we're going to get abused by c/raises with gutters, 77, etc. |

I'm bet/folding the turn here. [/ QUOTE ] I agree, were drawing dead to an Ace, so I don't see a reason to take a free card. |

Doesn't have many chips left though.", I am bet folding the turn here. If he c/r's he is saying "omg now i cant get my 2.5 BB's in and he will call". As far as metagame goes, calling here says "calls down any piece", folding says "I can bluff him". I'd say I mix it up here 80-20. |

Re: Bet, or Induce River Bluff
I'd check this flop and see what transpires. I'd rather not invest a bet when the flop action may tell me I'm behind.
Turn is perfect. River is so-so. I'd call just about anything but a King or Queen here. |
