UB withdrawal "problems" - Help Please

About 6 months ago I deposited $500 at UB to play one of their Foxwoods promotions. I lost about $150, and since I wasn't a fan of the site, I didn't play again.

Since I still had $350 at the site, I logged in the other day to withdraw my balance. Since I use Neteller and apparently my UB email needs to be the same as my Neteller email to make a withdrawal, I went through the process to change and verify my UB email and then put in a withdrawal request.

Sure enough, I got an email from UB claiming my account was selected for a "random verification" and that since I had deposited money and immediately tried to withdraw it, they required me to explain what I was doing. Of course, this simply wasn't true, and I told them so.

Today I got back another email with the following BS:

Any thoughts on how to deal with this? And be forewarned if you were under the impression UB was an honest site.

1. If you lost 150 you almost certainly wagered 250 (1/2 of 500) which would mean you complied with their rule. Ask them for every hand history you played.

2. Ask them where the rule was published when you made your deposit. Ask them where the rule is published now.

3. Appeal your case to somebody else at UB.

If you don't have any luck, check out PokerRoomReview.com. They are a 3rd party arbitration site, who works with the various poker sites to get resolutions to these types of discrepencies.

I agree. They've been pulling this trick on a lot of people lately.

I think the watchdog sites should blacklist UltimateBet. The first law of poker is anyone can quit the game anytime they want. Breaking this rule is stealing player money. Any real regulatory authority would shut them down on the spot for doing something like this. Since there is no notice of this policy on their site they have no excuse whatsoever.

Strange. I deposited $200 recently when they had the 100% reload bonus going. I only played some .05/.10 for a few days and then withdrew the original $200 without any problems at all. I doubt I played $100. Shrug. Never heard that one before.

I play UB alot. Cashouts happen usually within 2 days. Never had a problem. Then again, I play alot of hands there.

I think it's bogus that such a small amount is being held up in this case though.

It's just so sleazy. "Sorry, we can't give you your money for reason X" "[censored]" "Okay, we can't give you your money for reason Y" "[censored]" "Okay, here's your money." But whatever. Since I didn't care about clearing the bonus, I answered the security question and got the money today.
