Too weak w/KK?
MP1 is 33/14/2.4
Poker Stars Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $0.25/$0.5 9 players Converter Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, BB calls, MP1 calls, MP3 calls. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6.4SB, 4 players) Hero bets, BB calls, MP1 raises, MP3 folds, Hero 3-bets, BB folds, MP1 caps, Hero folds. So is this a lame fold or what? If he's got the ten I'm left w/2 outs and probably calling down for an additional 2.5 bb. I have been overplaying big pairs lately, I'm not sure if this is overcompensation for that. |

Re: Too weak w/KK?
Hm. You'll need to make up 4BB postflop, but as nutso as this guy is it looks like you could make that up, provided you bet out the turn if you spike a K--he'll just see it as a continuation of the flop war. A bit iffy if we're playing just for set value; probably break even.
On the other hand against a LAG like this he could have QJo for all we know. I think we should call this down. |

Re: Too weak w/KK?
On this flop, I check/call and see the turn at least. I think the hard betting (open bet on high paired board) on the flop is where you would lose your money, not calling (at least to the turn). I could be wrong about even going that far (possible leak?).

Re: Too weak w/KK?
While the flop is an autobet, I don't know why we're 3betting if we don't want a cap and this guy is probably betting all the way anyway (see: WA/WB).

Re: Too weak w/KK?
Ugh, bad fold. If you're willing to 3-bet this flop you should call the cap. The flop action's already bloated this pot. You have 2 king outs, a weak str8 draw, it's HU, etc.
