Default 10/10 on bubble in live home tournament

$100 buyin live tournament

We started with 35
Payouts:
First- $1500
Second - $1000
Third - $650
Fourth - $350

70000 chips in play
Blinds are 300/600. They go up again before too much longer.
UTG (~10000 in chips) raises to 2000 straight
UTG+1, CO folds
Hero on the button (20500 in chips) raises to 7000 with 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB folds
BB thinks a minute and pushes. He is the only player at the table who is close to me. He has about 18000 in chips.
UTG folds

BB has been aggressive but not stupid. He definitely respects UTG who is a pretty tight opponent. He knows I'm not reraising with air. In other words, he's not doing this with 77 or AJ.

I called praying to see AK but knowing I was beat. I was getting 2.5:1. Now I am looking back at it... anyway I can get away from this hand?

You're 50/50 at best and 4:1 at worst, with 4:1 being more likely. You have plenty of chips. Why are you risking it all here?

One way you can get away is calling preflop. When you put in 1/3 of your stack and raise to 7000 you're forcing yourself to go to war. If you don't want to go to war with TT, then call preflop. I don't think it's a crime to play it cautiously or for set value.
