From the FAQ:
[ QUOTE ]
Can I be my own affiliate? Can my friend, brother, etc… be my affiliate? : Sites do not allow you to be your own affiliate. It is allowed to have your friend, brother, etc… be your affiliate, but there are two problems with this. The first is that most sites have a clause that states, if you are not actively signing people up, then they reserve the right (and usually will) to cancel their agreement with you. The other reason you want to signup with a larger affiliate, is they usually earn a higher percentage of MGR from the different poker sites. This means that they will be able to offer you a higher percentage of rakeback then somebody that has signed you and his brother up, for example, and does not plan on signing anybody else up. This extra percentage is generally a significant amount.

[/ QUOTE ]

This would seem to answer my question but...

From PartyPoker's site:
[ QUOTE ]
What is an Affiliate?
An affiliate relationship is a partnership between the merchant, PartyPartners, and you, the Affiliate.

When *you* or real money players (RMPs) and/or your Sub-affiliates generate revenue, we, PartyPartners, will reward you with revenue share and/or cost per acquisition payments (CPAs).

[/ QUOTE ]

The wording of this, viz. the part I have stared, sounds like you can recieve revenue from your own play. So my question is still unanswered.

Thanks for the respones in advance
P

Then how do you explain the language Party Poker uses in the FAQ in the affilate section of their website? [ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ] It says that you can.

Why dont you email them directly and ask them to clarify what that means. I cant imagine it means you can sign up under yourself to get rakeback. That defeats the purpose of the program and their anti rakeback stance and has been proven to be the wrong thing to do.

I suggest you stop reading the marketing material and start reading the Affiliate Contract (T&C)! It will make sense to you then.

I assume you are refering to this:
[ QUOTE ]
3.7 Commercial Use Only. This marketing opportunity is for commercial use only. You shall not register as a Player or make deposits to any Player Account (directly or indirectly) through your Tracker(s) (or any Sub-Affiliate's tracker(s)) for your own personal use and/or the use of your relatives, friends, employees, servants, agents or advisors, or otherwise attempt to artificially increase the Affiliate Accruals payable to you or to defraud us. Violation of this provision shall be deemed to be Fraud Traffic.

[/ QUOTE ]

Doesn't the KickStart program and what is written in the FAQ contradict this? How can they have such conflicting information on their site?
