Neighbor has loud parties 'till 4 am... he's a [censored] cop

So last night I had to study till past midnight, and as I'm sitting at my desk, I hear screaming and banging and just loud obnoxious noises coming in through my window. It's my neighbor 2 houses down having a party in his garage and driveway (in Hawaii everyone has garage parties). His friends all come over and they hang out and make lots of noise. They're obnixous and scream a lot. 4 problems:

1) It's a monday for [censored]'s sake.
2) This is not a rare occurance.
3) He's a [censored] cop. You'd think he'd be a roll model.
4) All the neighbors I've spoke to hate this

I live in a quiet neighborhood of stand alone houses. Mostly families w/ children. People on our right have a 7 yo, on our left a 9 and 16 yo. Across the street a 5 yo and a soon to be born baby. So, it's not like I live in a wild neighborhood.

I've talked to neighbors, and apparently the problem used to be worse, and no one likes it. I just hope the parties aren't starting back up again.

One night he started revving his [censored] police motorbike at 3 am. I thought my walls would collapse.

Anyway, what's my move? I haven't called the cops on him yet because he's a cop, so I'm nervous about what'll happen. Maybe I should call from a pay phone (but there's none in this neighborhood). I was also thinking of writing an anonymous letter to the newspaper here.

Am I being too paranoid about not wanting to call the cops? Next time, should I just walk over there and tell them to shut the [censored] up? Any suggestions?

Anyway, it's just pisses the [censored] out of me because he should know better. That's what really gets me mad.

Go to a pay phone, call 911 and say shots have been fired at his address and two ppl are down on the lawn. Continue doing this until he gets the message.

just call the cops everytime, it will do more good than harm

Go down the street and bring up all the points you're talking about here. IF he doesn't stop, then call the cops. Also you might want to talk to him about it the next day or something, especially if he's drinking while partying.
