bad situation, need quick help: vegas hotel
so i booked in the excalibur through expedia a few weeks ago. i jst visited the site's FAQ to see if they have internet in the rooms, and the first question is 'how old do i have to be to check in?' answer: 21. my age: 20. awesome. expedia told me nothing of this. it's also too late to cancel as my flight is in 2 hours. awesome.
so, i'm thinking it's pretty unlikely they will notice when i check in because i look old and i imagine they rarely ever get any 21- checking in so probably wont check. if they do however, i think i will just complain tons about how i was never told this. hopefully this will make them let it pass just this once, any chance of that? if that doesn't work bitch for my full refund, surely legally i'm entitled to a refund? if i have to go somewhere else, where do i go? i'll be checking in at about 11pm too. this will be a bitch. suggestions etc all welcome! 20 mins untill i have to set off for my flight. |

Re: bad situation, need quick help: vegas hotel
ugg. i think if they catch you are not 21 then you are likely fcked on getting the room. you should get a refund, though unclear b/c you did it through a third party and thus the hotel might say no.
your best bet then may be to call the hotel and get another name put on the room before you check in. then get someone who is 21 to check in for you. only problem is if you need to put down a cc. if you know anyone there, this would be your best bet. |

Jay,
I doubt you will have any problem, but if you do, money talks. |

Are you sure Expedia didn't have this in the fine print? I'm working on an itinerary myself and they certainly do specify that you have to be 21 to check into some of the hotels.
As for your problem, you should probably call them now and see if it will be a problem. If it is, they might be able to help you find someplace else. |

I don't understand what the big problem is. You have a credit card, right? I've never had to show anything but my credit card when checking into a hotel, and none of my cards show my age.

Re: bad situation, need quick help: vegas hotel
I haven't stayed in hotels very much. What sort of info do you need to give when you log in? If you don't have to do anything that might give away your age, just act perfectly normal like there's no problem and you'll probably get away fine. (Or maybe you'll get chucked onto the street but meh.)

Re: bad situation, need quick help: vegas hotel
swede,
Many hotels you need credit card and ID. But as I said above, it's unlikely to be a problem - this is not the FBI checking here, it is some check-in person. Any problem that arises can easily be solved by slipping the person a couple of twenties. |

if i have to go somewhere else, where do i go? i'll be checking in at about 11pm too. [/ QUOTE ] The four casinos in that intersection (Tropicana and LV Blvd) reputedly has more hotel rooms the city of San Francisco. I suspect you'll be fine. |
