Default Going to NOLA. Direct me please.

Title says it all. I'll be arriving Wed night. Leaving sometime next week. Tell me what to do that I'll enjoy, given most people have some idea about my personality.

Afterward, I'll have megantw read these responses and heap brutal scorn on the morans.

Go.

I have nothing to say regarding your trip other than have fun, but I am interested in getting scorn heaped upon me.

Have a blast dude.

My wife likes ghost stories and that crap, so we went on a "haunted history" walking tour of the French Quarter. I forget what company it was, but the guide was a legit historian and I found the stuff re: the history of the city and the architecture to be very interesting.

Looking forward to the ton of restaurant suggestions.

Is the food at Commander's really that good?

Cafe du Monde is going to be like the first place visited.

Megan,

Dave picked up a gift for you in Vegas. You'll be feeling itchy in 4-6 weeks.

A great place for breakfast is Petunia's...on St. Louis St., I think.

Second The Commander's Palace. I also had a great meal at the original Delmonico's.

Thought Commander's Palace was worth every dollar, Bayona was horribly overrated.

Preservation Hall for is a must for live jazz (the sets usually last around 30 - 45 minutes) and check out a few of the cemetaries.
