Default Why u must not be too eager

20/40 Commerce (6 handed temporarily)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Foled to hero in CO, <font color="red">Hero raises</font>2 folds, <font color="red">BB 3-bets </font>, <font color="blue"> hero calls </font>

Flop: Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
<font color="red">BB bets, Hero raises,</font><font color="blue">BB calls , </font>

Turn: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
BB checks, Hero checks

On the turn what I thought was interesting, is that BB said check and saw me reaching for chips. As I was reaching for chips (I am slower with chips, I play a mostly online), BB has already put in his chips. At this point I am thinking that he must have a bigger pair than me and has decided to blindly call me down. So I check instead and he takes back his chips

River: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Bet the turn. Especially when he's already indicated that he isn't raising you. He could easily be calling with a flush draw.

You can always check behind on the river if you don't improve.

Ya I always thought the reaching for chips thing was a classic sign of weakness.

He could still be drawing. If you're willing to call the river bet, should the guy bet out into you(you are inducing a bluff, to a degree), and he's only indicated that he'll call the turn, I'd bet the turn.

Same price, yet you charge him if he's drawing. He's also saying he's done betting so you can take the given that you will get a free showdown if you want it.

He didn't show his hand, but I believe he had anywhere from 99-jj. He was upset that I rivered him. However, betting is a bad idea, because he has indicated that he will call me down. So I want to get this shown down cheap. It is less likely that I was 3-bet with a smaller pair. The only other reasonable hand he could have is AK and be on a flush draw.
