Re: i always post stupid hands
I probably fire the turn about 2/3 pot and check behind the river. This line is often a draw and it takes a pretty abnormal player to donk the flop, call a raise, then cr allin on the turn with a hand that cant beat a fragile overpair. Giving a free card here sucks.
As far as the river goes I probably just check behind. All you beat is 6x and I think he has you beat and calls more often than he has 6x and calls -Mike |

Betting the turn, folding if raised is my line here. As it is, checking the river is good you're not getting called by a worse hand.

check turn and river [/ QUOTE ] I'm with Requin, the flop is too drawy for me to check the turn. River is an easy check. |

Re: i always post stupid hands
For sure bet turn here and fold to a raise. Don't want to be giving free cards on this board. I see no reason why you can't bet 1/3 of pot or so on river for value here. Most players will not check turn and river with hands that have you beat, and fewer players will raise with hands that you do beat. It's a thin value bet but I'd make it most of the time.

Re: i always post stupid hands
when an overcard comes on the turn and my hand isn't that strong to begin with i often check turn and fire or call a reasonable bet when a blank comes on the river when draw doesn't get there. i just wanted to see if there were any who fire on river here and how much... and if anyone bets the turn/how much. opinions seem mixed thus far.

Re: i always post stupid hands
Having checked turn, I think you should always check river w/o a history or read ... turn bet is kinda mandatory but I really hate going pot flop pot turn unless your opponent is REALLY bad. I'd rather raise pot flop, 2/3 turn or something.

Re: i always post stupid hands
thanks for the opinions of those who replied. in this case i ended up 1/2 potting riv and he instacalled w 67. good players from what ive seen will c/r the turn all in with a variety of hands, and after he checks 4th and 5th streets i think a river bet is sometimes good, planning on folding to a raise.
i guess this is a boring topic for most, and i will try to find some AKs/AA/s+f draw/overcard fd hands that everyone seems to enjoy posting about so much. peeeeeace. |
