I am looking for a list of sports books to avoid...anyone have any horror stories about an online sportsbook stiffing or being unethical?

It definitely can happen. And you have to watch out as a lot of these shady operators just start up again under a new name. Personally have never been burned, however know someone who was screwed by Sunset Sportsbook (now rated F by sportsbookreview.com) folded. Horror story involved being lured by a too good to be true deposit promotion, he went on a good run and built up his account. So while he lost just his initial deposit , which was not too large in comparison, he had spent a few months building it up to a nice level.

If you're looking for the other side (instead of books to avoid, books to use) check out http://www.sportsbookpal.com/reviews.htm

They've got some innovative extra bonus offers for signup through them, as well...
