Party has taken $2.5k from me (I think)

I won a PPM cruise cabin in one of Party's freerolls, so I didn't expect to pay for it. But now I see $2.5k is taken from my account, marked as "cabin settle". To specify, this is taken through an inter account transfer to an account called "cabin_settle". First name appears to be Cabin and last name appears to be Settle. I have not recieved an e-mail about "money withdrawn from your account" like one usually gets after inter account transferring.

This transfer went on april 3rd. I didn't notice it before now. (Yeah, I know. I must be pretty cool to not notice that $2.5k is missing.)

is there actually $2500 missing from your account?

I won a whole package from Party via the VIP thing.

Under transaction history for me on Apr 3 it says:

Freeroll encashed - $12.7k

And then under that it says:
Money transferred to - PPM-VSettle - $12.7k


So it looks like they gave you credit for the 'freeroll' or something under your tourney-stuff...and then did some of this weird stuff under transaction history probably more for their own records or something.

Ah. That sounds like what has likely happened.

I didn't notice any money missing, but I don't keep records of what I have in my accounts, so it would be entirely possible for $2.5k to disappear without me noticing. (Allthough I probably would, just entirely possible I wouldn't.)

Anyway, I'll check my transaction history right away.

I think that the fact that you're not sure if you could tell whether $2.5k was missing is pretty bad.
Might want to pay a little more attention to stuff like that.

Bob, of course, is right. It might be a smart idea to keep a spreadsheet of your running balance. You can then compare it to PT records and Party records to make sure all matches up.

Especially if you have a lot of money in your account and might not notice $2.5k missing. Had this been someone who hacked your account, the money could have been long gone and not retrievable at this point.
