How would you sell this stuff?

So, yesterday, I go to my Honors College seminar class, and we each have to sell two cases of candy (104 bars at $1). If we sell the stuff, then the university chips in the rest of the money and we can go to Washington DC for free for four days.

The problem is, that the university itself has about ten vending machines for every student, and they sell the stuff for about half the price. Also, as somebody that is 21, it may be a little hard to go door-to-door, even if I tell them that I am selling for my little-league softball team.

Since this is a board full of geniuses, I figured I would ask here. How would you guys get sell this stuff as quickly and efficiently as possible?

so it costs you $104 to go to dc free for four days?

sell the cases on ebay for 30 bucks or so and pitch in the other 70 yourself and you have a 4-day trip for $70

If you get to essentially go to DC for four days for $104, fork up the money yourself and take your time to deal with the chocolate (sell it later, give it away, have a cousin/nephew/niece sell it for you, give it to your parents to sell from their workplace, etc.)

pass the word around that candies were stolen from the FBI (DEA ?)lab, where they keep confiscated drugs. the candies have been packed with ... (weed, coke, E, LSD - accordingly to your consumer market preferences) and now there is a hudge demand for it among students.

hire your friends, let them do some testimonials.

sell them at work, to relatives, at relatives' work, etc

Sell them in bulk to someone for 50 bucks and they can deal with the hassle of individually selling them. Basically find someone who will deal with the work involved in selling. Ebay works too, but I bet you could get more selling to someone locally. Your hourly rate selling 100 candy bars at 1 dollar each is going to be way low. I'm sure you could make more than 50 bucks doing something else in the time it takes you to sell that candy.
