Default girls and playoff beards(another girl advice thread)

This is a serious dilemma I am facing:
I have an upcoming first date in a few days with a girl I have known for a while and like. Because of my religion I am prohibited from shaving while my favourite team is still in the playoffs(Edmonton Oilers). That means 6 days without shaving and being a 19 year old caucasian my facial hair looks really dirty after about 4 days. I have the gap between the chin and mustache and the mustache looks really dirty. For those who are aware of the playoff beards, is shaving the mustache part taboo? I figure if I just have chin hair then it will not look too bad, but I want people's opinions of dirty facial hair and how bad it would be from her view and how much of a hinderance it could be to attaining a second date.

You aren't on the team, shave the whole thing.

Just tell her the truth, and she will hopefully respect your dedication towards your team. Hell, she might even find it sexy.

In Canada, it is quite common to grow beards for your hockey team and shaving the whole thing is completely out of the question for me

you value a ugly pointless sport over increasing your chances of getting laid.

that's sad.

I've lived in Canada my entire life and have never heard of anyone doing this for a team they weren’t a member of.
