Default disconnects

What should I expect for frequency of disconnects/lagout? I play at Pacific or Doyles room and get disconnected 2-3x per hour, its really frustrating.

But this has nothing to do with the Server here.
I (and several players I know) have the problem on Party, Pokerstars, Primaskins and other Servers. And we just dont know why.

Try turning your firewall off and playing. If that works then call Pacific and they will e mail you the ports to open so you can re configure firewall. I had the same problem and that solved it for me.Now when I have disconnect problems with any site I follow this procedure and it usually works.

Could this still be a problem if youre using ZoneAlarm? ZA pops up a window about allowing internet access whenever I install a new site. Does this do the same thing as open the ports so that the poker site can get through, or does this wizard type configuration do a half ass job and leave a few ports still blocked?

That is a good question. I use Outpost and it keeps popping up windows asking me what action I would choose to do, and always asks me to allow or block any outgoing or incomming connection. This is so frustrating as I have a helluv a lot of trouble settling it all and when I look on the report of connections blocked and get stunned. I see the msn there gets blocked all the time.

Thanks Nala, will try the firewall thing. It really stinks to have Queens full and you fold on disconnect.
