Re: SUPER STANDARD??? RIVER BET SIZE????
I think this is good as long as villain is alive and thinking. Some random donkey might look you up though.

Re: SUPER STANDARD??? RIVER BET SIZE????
If you're not going to make a continuation bet on flop I don't like turn bet. Whereas a small Jack or Queen will fold on flop, you can't get them out on turn. Why bet river? You will only get called when beat. Villain will fold his flush draw or missed straight draw and will call with any queen. Maybe you can get a Jack to fold here but that's about it.

Re: SUPER STANDARD??? RIVER BET SIZE????
You need a read to do this, playing poker on Party is great because your average player makes too many loose calls, you can't have it both ways.

I like it -- I mean, you have to have AK. Or QQQ. Not super standard, but definitely standard-ish.

Re: SUPER STANDARD??? RIVER BET SIZE????
I'm not sure what you're doing here. Are you putting SB on a J that will fold to this bet? Are you value betting against a six (of course not)?
This is such a strange line for a good hand on that board that I have to imagine he looks you up with a jack. I'm weak-tight so I'd check behind since I improved on the river. You're ahead of all his possible flush draws and straight draws now, but he's not calling with any of those. |

Re: SUPER STANDARD??? RIVER BET SIZE????
yves,
I check. I don't see anything you beat calling. I'd probably look you up with J9 there (but thats the worst jack I call with preflop). |

Re: SUPER STANDARD??? RIVER BET SIZE????
I bet turn 100% of the time when I am checked to twice and last to act but I see no point in betting this river
maybe he was drawing to something and missed and you can take the pot with your rivered pair if he has a Q he is calling if he has a J he is PROBABLY calling (and that is a lot of money to risk hoping that he will fold without a read) and I don't see a worse hand calling unless he has exactly KT and thinks your a bluffmaster |

Re: SUPER STANDARD??? RIVER BET SIZE????
How often are you guys not making continuation bets after raising pre against 2 opponents with position? Maybe betting turn is 100% the right play after checking flop, but I'm rarely in this position because I'm usually making a continuation bet. Why is it better to check flop and bet turn?
