PS $5 - KK with A on flop vs lag
Only 30 hands in, but villian is trying to be lag-ish (65/15/2). Have not seen him show down any bluffs. Not sure if he would bluff this, definitely sure he's playing any ace if he has one.
Is the pf raise OK? More? Push? Re: PS $5 - KK with A on flop vs lag
Has UTG been making a habit of 1/3 pot bets? If so, any idea what they've meant in the past? Also, he's obviously playing lots of hands, but have you seen any of the hands he's raised?
Absent a better read, I think I fold here, as I think it likely that a large part of UTG's raise/call a r-r range here is ace-whatever hands, and I can't at all trust that he's folding a little ace to a reraise-push, especially given that you don't have much of a stack left at this point. On top of that, I'm not convinced we've heard the last from SB. |

Re: PS $5 - KK with A on flop vs lag
Yeah, what Ixnert said. I am sorely tempted to shove this pf with our stack. I mean he's LAG enough to call us with whatever garbage he's got anyway, and even if he doesn't we get a 20% increase to our stack, that definitely appeals to me. It's quite similar to that other KK hand posted further down the board, and I liked a push there, too.
Honestly, not being results oriented, I am leaning towards a push pre. |

Re: PS $5 - KK with A on flop vs lag
Thought about pushing pre-flop, but my experience has been that these lag-gy types at low levels will call a decent raise with just about anything but will often fold to a push. I was hoping to isolate and then push just about any flop without an A. Wasn't expecting SB to come along for the ride.
Ixnert, I hadn't seen him show down any 1/3-pot bets. By guess is he's not thinking pot size here, just "make a bet that's bigger than the pre-flop raise". |

Don't you know that the odds of an ace flopping are significantly higher when you have KK? [/ QUOTE ] True, but there's still like a 53% chance that one won't flop. Exploit the small edges, right? |

I would imagine he was joking as well with his 53% response.
