So tonight at the Smackdown taping Batista (The World Heavyweight Champ) dropped the title because of his newly torn tricep. He gave the belt to the GM Teddy Long where he said there would be a battle royal for the title. Later he said there would be a mystery person and it happened to be Kurt Angle who is now on Smackdown I guess and the new World Heaveyweight Champ. I would have never seen this or the whole Edge thing Sunday night coming. There is also a story on WWE's web page.

meh, its this type of hotshotting that ruined WCW. Looks like Vince is really starting to go the same route

I like it. Angle is an established heel that can carry the belt to Wrestlemania, and I can see him dropping it to Rey Mysterio believably rather than having Batista either turn heel on Mysterio or drop it to Mark Henry or other crappy wrestler. Yeah, Angle on Smackdown! doesn't make sense, but Smackdown! has been suffering for Main Event talent with Benoit in the mid-card, Booker T injured, Undertaker with no angle, Batista injured, and Orton with no angle. Give Angle credit for being a team player I say. And it's nice there's some honesty instead of Batista just losing in some short match that fans know is B.S.

I have to agree with you on that Burdzthewurd but what I am not pleased with is the fact they gave Edge the title on Raw. No one cares about him and no one really likes him at all. He is at best a mid card and that PPV was the worst I have seen since I started back watching WWE like 2 years ago. But again I do like Angle having the title even though I would rather have seen Batista keep it and no be injured but things happen and I think if WWE plays this right it could be really good.

I've always liked Edge. I don't particularly care for the whole Lita reality-angle, but I say give the guy a couple of weeks. He's certainly not off to a great start, since this week's RAW was one of the worst shows I've ever seen.

This is a good thing. I like both these guys separately, but am getting tired of seeing them together.
