Default Hero caps light

I need a lot of improvement in my blind steal/defense strategies. I'm trying to be more aggressive when I have position, but this might be too much. SB is new to the table.

Against an unkonwn 2/4er your hand isn't strong enough to cap PF.

It might be enough to get some small pairs to fold on overcard boards or weakish aces to fold on dry boards. I'd like a read though. I like postflop.

I don't like the pf cap. He is 3-betting from sb which generally means a better hand. Other than that it's cool.

I don't cap KTs against an unknown SB except when I know runner runner Kings are coming, so that makes this cap OK.

Bet the turn. If you get raised, you have nine outs and fold the river UI.

Checking the turn might be OK too though.

His turn check is good. SB either has a hand that can't call on the turn or is a big favorite. Unless of course he can never fold a mid pocket pair on an A K Q board.

Preflop stinks. A SB 3-bet range is typically A8s+ ATo+ 55+. You're not in great shape.

A SB 3 bet usually means at least A high. People call down with A high a lot in blind steal situations. I'd like to see a flop before I put too many bets into this pot. I don't like the pf cap.

Haha, I'd probably do the same preflop. Which is probably why I'm struggling to stay alive in poker ;> Post-flop is good.
