Default Heads Up Grand V Dillemma: What do you do?

Players Joe and Fin. Joe has around 2.5 mil and Fin has around 4 mil. Fin gets disconnected. Joe starts to raise when he is in the SB, picking up a lot of pots until he has around 3.7 mil and Fin is down to around 2.8. Fin gets back and is relatively pissed because he lost a lot of money in this. LEts get this out there as well: First pays around 160k and 2nd pays 95k. Here are the questions:

Second question because I suck at putting two polls on one post. Say you do gain this lead while he is gone (you almost have to without putting yourself on the away button), how do you deal wiht it when you get back? Joe offered to give back a certain unmentioned amount to Fin, but later began folding when Fin requested he do so until they get even.

BTW, Joe ended up going back to even with Fin by folding a lot of hands. He also ended up winning the tourney.

It is unethical. Legal, yes, but unethical. I would feel dirty doing this. I have been in this situation before for far less money and have sat out until the player reconnects. I would, however, only wait 15 minutes.

I've also been in a situation at a live FT where 1st was over 40K and had the player on my right show me his hole cards every time. I did not look, even after warning him of the problem. Again, I'd feel dirty if winning chips with this knowledge ended up winning me money I didn't earn. Hell, I'd find some sub-conscious way to blow whatever money I gained by doing this anyway.

This is poker, your goal is to win as much as possible. A player who can't protect his cards or not having a good internet connections or any friends to play for you is an edge I exploit just like any other as long as it is within the rules.

Do you feel wrong using PT and PAHUD even though your opponent is not?

I'm a professional athelete (you do know that poker is a sport, right?), it is good sportsmanship to wait. I don't need to be sneaky and underhanded to beat my competition. Well, maybe I do, but I still won't do it. My goal is not to win as much as possible if it costs me my soul. If I don't feel good about what I am doing, then what is the point of having a bunch of money.

"Hey, man! I JUST WON THE POKERROOM GRAND V!!!"
"Oh wow, that's awesome!! What was the final hand?"
"well, there wasn't a final hand, per se... He disconnected, so I raised his blind every time. You see in poker you exploit every advantage."
"I see..."
"Yeah, I heard that once a guy had a friend call the casino where he was HU at the final table to tell his opponent that his mom died. She was fine, of course, but he was so distraught he couldn't play anymore."
"That's good poker?"
"YEP!!! Pretty cool, huh?

Meh I wouldn't feel the least bit bad taking his money. The whole point of poker is to take as much of your opponents money as possible. Pokersites give ample time for players to reconnect (especially at large final tables), it is his fault for not getting back in time.
