What does line mean?
I keep seeing it in all the different fora, and I never heard the phrase a few months ago. What is this cool new poker jargon? Just how you play a hand?

Re: What does line mean?
"Line" is pretty much short for "Line of betting." As in general plays for each street of a particular hand.
"If I'm sure this player has X holdings, I'd use the following line: check-raies the flop, and fire on both the turn and the river." |

Re: What does line mean?
Cool, thanks. So when I describe how I played a hand, is my explanation my line?

Re: What does line mean?
Right, what bets you placed on each round is your line and you explain your thinking during your line.
