Default Beware the Turn Donk: QTo in the CO

Villain was somewhat solid, pretty aggressive postflop. SB is loose-passive.

Party 2/4, 10-handed

Hero is CO with Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

5 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, SB calls, Villain calls.

Flop (6SB): J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

SB checks, Villain checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls.

Turn (4.5BB): 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

SB checks, Villain bets, Hero ???

What's your plan here? Call down? Fold? Something else?

I don't have much idea what to make of this bet, so I'd probably revert to my default when I have a decent hand and am completely confused. Which is to call.

I think i raise. But i enjoy spewing. Not sure if call down is great it is obviously my second choice. I mean this bet makes no sense unless he knows you style of play. If he was ahead why not raise flop or c r turn. Its not like flop was great for a free card play. I think maybey your behind now that i think of it. seems like he could be playing a weak j, waited for turn and puts donk to see what youll do. In which case i still like to raise and force third guy out

This is a tough spot. It could very well be that with no flush draw on the board that and the straight draw drying up a bit on the turn that he waited until then to bet his jack. I think I might raise, fold to a re raise and check behind on the river.

i think either calling down or raising for a free showdown are both good options

against more aggro opponents that may 3-bet with some kind of draw(not going to happen much at 2/4) i would prefer calling down

the fact that SB is still in makes me lean toward raising

This was a pretty strange hand. I called, SB folded, the river blanked and I called again. He showed AJo.
