JJ on paired board--standard?
Both villains really loose-passive.
Party 2/4, 9-handed Hero is MP1 with J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 folds, Hero Raises, 1 fold, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls. Flop (6.5SB): Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero bets, CO calls, BB calls. Turn (4.75BB): 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero bets, CO calls, BB calls. River (7.75BB): A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks. Anyone value-bet the river? Does it make any difference that it's the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]? |

Re: JJ on paired board--standard?
That's how I would play it. I think I'm checking any ace on the river, the fact that it's a spade keeps you from having to pay off some goon's Ax.

Re: JJ on paired board--standard?
I think I look for a free showdown here. I'm a little worried about someone slowplaying trips since our opponents are passive. If one of these players was on the nut flush draw they just beat us on the river as well. I'm not too worried about a backdoor flush on that board.

Good, it looks like a finally got one right . I planned on turbo-mucking if either player showed any aggression, but wasn't too suprised when BB flipped A9o.
