This $1/$2 game was wild, your usual cats who won't fold and play top pair like they are quads. The EP player (about $300)is a wild chick who can have any two cards and will see every single flop if she limps pre-flop and is raised. MP player ($400) is down $500 and not playing very well (he's not good).
I am on the button with Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and limp for $2. 7 players to the flop, which is K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Flop is checked to me and I make it $15 to go and get two callers. Turn is a 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] EP Checks, MP Bets $75 What is the correct play? |

I suppose it depends on what the action to you is.

What is the action in front of you? Check if possible, call smallish bet on blank river. And fold preflop.

Well, I assume they checked to you?
This spot is still tough for me, but I would think bet about 3/4 the pot, folding to a raise. |

I never know what to do in these situations... I hate to give a free card and let a heart fall. However, I also hate inflating the pot.
With 2 people in the hand, there's a decent chance one of them was drawing. I used to bet here, but lately I check it if possible. Then, work on filling up to the boat |

I fold preflop here most of the time. This table was perfect though, and being on the button (and knowing the BB) I figured I would see a cheap flop and see if I hit.
