Default Calvin Ayres WildCard Poker Tournament

I watched the first episode last night and it was mildly amusing. They were a little over-the-top with the Calvin Ayre lifestyle stuff but that dude does have a sick house.

It's also fairly obvious Negreanu is the wild card. He blogged about a secret trip the weekend this was filmed.

I'll probably watch again but look forward to them weeding out the celebrities and the internet qualifiers. The mass quanity of hot chicks they show helps tolerate the amateurs.

Jean Gluck is on next week too, so I'll be watching, or Tivoing, at least.

I hate Calvin Ayre. He comes off as such a pretentious douchebag. Either way, I guess him cultivating the image of the poker lifestyle being one of women, fame, and riches gets idiots to play, like that ultimate fighter who said he knew he had to "bring that combat mentality to the poker table."

Calvin Ayre is a douche. But if he ever invites me to one of his parties i'll hit it up. Bodog is going to get bought out once the online poker boom slows down.

This is the worst poker I have ever seen on TV. There was one hand where a woman raised A8o in EP. Guy next to her reraised with 44. Everyone folds. Flop comes T53r. She bets. He raises. She pushes. He calls. 44 holds up. These people are playing for $500,000 on national television and it looks like a play money tables on stars.

My first thought was "Hugh Hefner Wannabe."

More like a rich guy desperate for attention.

Hey lets make a show about me, but disguise it with poker!

The sleeveless shirt he was wearing during the tour of his house made me laugh. He is a douche.
