Both opponents are reasonably solid, though UTG is much stronger postflop (read: tough/aggressive) than Button. I have an action-inducing image.
I think the river raise is expert (given my river check), but the rest of the hand is a judgment call that depends on the relative weighting of oversets, flush/straight draws, and aces+low. I don't post hands much anymore, but here I'm curious about other players' lines in this small-edge situation. $30/$60 Omaha Hi/Lo 5 players Converter Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG raises, CO folds, Button calls, Hero calls, BB calls. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (8SB, 4 players) Hero bets, BB calls, UTG raises, Button calls, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, UTG caps, Button calls, Hero calls, BB calls. Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (12BB, 4 players) Hero bets, BB folds, UTG raises, Button calls, Hero calls. River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (18BB, 3 players) Hero checks, UTG checks, Button bets, Hero raises, UTG calls, Button calls. Results: Final pot: 24BB Also, at 28-32% equity on the turn (vs. made low + flush draw - obviously drawing ~dead to overset), how valuable is a lead (squeezing BB + possibly inducing a protection raise from aces+low) versus a simple check/call? |

I'm trying to put some cards in the Button and UTG's hand that would make there play consistant with the flop.
The only thing that I can see is Button holding A 3 no hearts (all he does is call the whole way through the hand.) I have to put UTG on A 3 with the suited ace of hearts. Anything else...and you're in big trouble. If that is how the cards ended up....you did fine. If they turned over the over set or the 7x then you were way behind the entire way. Here's hoping for the two A 3's with the flush draw. Ironman Dave |
