2001FP worth it?
Anybody here have a 2001fp monitor for four tabling?
Im a 200NL player and usually just 4-6 table on my laptop, but alot of times that leads to me multitabling in front of my TV in the living room with roomates and all kinds of other distractions. So I was thinking about getting one of these to stick in my bedroom and keep me focused and alone when i play, and get rid of the overlap. They are at a really good price right now - $363 at slickdeals.net any mid-stakes guys have an opinion on whether or not i should get one? its only 2 buyins but ive been on a hell of a downswing since march, so im not jumping at the chance, but i think it would end up paying for itself, but who knows. What do you guys think? ps. i really dont like the small tables on party so they arent really an option.. and they dont work well with PAHUD |

Re: 2001FP worth it?
I just got two of them devlivered this week (before the price drop) and I'm really liking them. It allows me to six (and eventually 8 table) without overlap on regular sized tables. I'd say they are worth it.

You simply create a new layout and increase the font size. Then it looks almost exactly the same. You just need to be sure to export your existing layout so you don't have to spend the time redoing it. Having said that, I can never understand why people don't invest in the right screen. I am mostly referring to highstakes players who say they are still on crappy systems. And be sure your video card will support the increase. |

video card should be fine right? [/ QUOTE ] Right click your screen and select properties, then select "Settings". You should have an option for 2 monitors on the drop down. Set it to 2 monitors, then slide the screen resolution all the way over. It will tell you the max size. My laptop is 1700x1100 and my external monitor limit is 2048x1536. So if you have a fairly new computer you should be fine. |

I've got 2 and I love them. I think I paid around 400 per, and it was worth every penny.

Get it. Overlap equals frantic clicking equals distraction equals a lot of lost money.

Re: 2001FP worth it?
I was just about to order one as well. Do you know what cords/cables you need to hook it up to a laptop?
I have DVI-D on my laptop, would that be the best connection? DVI to DVI or is VGA or something else better? Thanks for help. |
