When sitcoms get serious
I did a little searching around and I don't think I've seen a thread dedicated to this topic. Almost every sitcom and after school special at some point in its running has a "serious" show, or a show including a serious moment. Rather than trying to be funny like usual, the show attempts to give a perspective or deliver a moral message about some sort of serious issue in the world today.
What are the most over-the-top, cringe-worthy episodes in TV history of this? |

It's called "a very special episode." The different Strokes with the child molester still sticks with me.
