99 - comments on my horrible play?

I know it's bad. I'm doing my best to learn. I didn't have a strong read on anyone at the table - this was only about 10 hands in. I had noticed that the table seemed to be awfully passive, and most hands were going to whomever bet first, so I went after this one and then slowed down on the river, figuring that the only call I would get would be with a hand that beat me.

Hi. I'd raise to .50 pf. As you played it the flop bet is fine. Depending on my read of villian I may or may not bet the turn but if I did here I'd be betting about $2.25 I think.

I actually tried to bet .40 PF, which is standard for me, but the stupid slider kept skipping around and I got frustrated and gave up. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Make it 0.50 to go preflop. (4xBB + BB per limper)

Flop bet is fine.

Turn and river: You want to see showdown as cheaply as possible. There are no real draws to protect against on the flop except gutshots. He called with something, probably a Jack, maybe a 7. Your only hope is really a smaller pp. I think you can check behind on the turn, call a tiny river bet, or fold to a larger one, and check behind if he checks river.
