Tough spot, but I call 4th. I don't know if it's right, but I just couldn't lay it down.
Don't know what the hell he was thinking giving you a free card on 5th. Was trying for a check raise? On 6th, the jack couldn't have helped him. Was he slow playing (A6) on 5th? Maybe, but I think trips is most likely. Given that, I'd jam it. |

![]() I'm not in the habit of calling paired door cards. Seems like you're either a little behind, or waay behind here. |

the only things I can think of from the 5th street check are that he started with 6A6 and is hoping you hit (or the very remote possibility of quads) or that he had 6J6 and filled on 6th. Neither of those really explain why he wouldn't charge you to draw though IF he had trips. This makes me think no trips and I would have to call down. Maybe JJ6 and he got worried when you actually called the double bet? I would probably call down, lose, and be pissed that I called it down.

I'm not in the habit of calling paired door cards. [/ QUOTE ] Me either but this is a place where I consider it. Espically with the A and the live suit. |

Maybe JJ6 [/ QUOTE ] JJ6 isn't possible. All jacks are out. |

Two Dimes puts you at about 31% if you are infact against 6h Ks 6c 6s on 4th.
So you are 2-1 against improving and if you call down to the river, unless he catches another 6 or an open pair then you are getting 9.33 to 6 or 1.5-1. Given that he could very likely be betting two pair such as 5d 5h 6c 6s, which you are about even money against then getting 1.5-1 a call becomes quite correct. It is a risk but I think it is one I might take in this situation. |
