Default Middle pair, feels wrong

Felt weird playing this hand. Not sure about 87s with 1 limper 5-handed. I'm also thinking I should have bet the flop. Given that I didn't bet the flop, is raising the turn OK? No reads.

I bet this flop and let it go if checkraised. If called I either bet the turn and take a free SD, or check the turn and call most river bets UI (read dependent).

I usually don't limp untill there are 2+ limpers.

I definately bet the flop.

Turn and river look good.

I would not have played it preflop (disclaimer: training wheels not totally detacted in SH situations) however but I would lead the flop and play it from there....

note: I would assume UTG is weak cos he openlimped 5 handed.

Why check the flop and raise that turn? Just bet the flop and turn.

Any input on preflop? It's so shorthanded that I think limping behind is OK here, not really sure.

Grunch:

Personally I bet the flop on these hands. Middle pair and weak draw and no strength shown. You could easily be winning but can easily be beaten over the next two streets. That would change the way it's played out.

As you played it I like the turn raise. It's quite likely he would bet when a 3 was paired given the lack of interest at the flop. It also might look like you are trapping him. I'd probably bet the river too.

Preflop - I'm probably wrong but I play these at 6 max in CO depending on how likely I think button and blinds are to raise.

I think the hand plays worst shorthanded as the games tend to be more aggressive and suited connectors really want a passive postflop game...
