This is the very first hand of a SNG on Pokerstars. I just wanted to check my lines and see if I could have done anything different. Obviously, I don't have any reads.

Raise to at least 100 pf. Raise to at least 250 on the flop. Bet at least 3/4 the pot on the turn.

I was thinking to myself that I should just go all-in. Maybe I should have just pushed the turn?

Hi there-
Preflop I would raise at least to 100. 60 is too small of a raise. Once again on the flop I don't think you raised enough. I would bet the pot. On the turn I am betting at least 2/3s of the pot. The river is a hard decision, but I am leaning towards a fold. |

With the pot at only 580, going all in is overkill. But if you had made bigger raises earlier, the pot would be bigger. So it depends.

Raise more preflop, at least to 100. Flop looks fine. With two possible flush draws and two potential overs lurking push the turn.

Something was just telling me that this guy didn't have a hand and was being a donk, but that river all-in totally ruined it. Very first hand of the SNG too.
Is QQ always 5xBB or just this early in Level 1? |

:grunching:
first thing I see is you should have raised more preflop. With the 2 limpers in front of you, a bigger opening bet is advised. I likely would have played it the same way until the river, where the call is probably not the best play. K,x beats you now, and I could put him on AA pretty easily with his preflop limp UTG+1 followed by the calling along after your flop reraise. I think KK is very possible as well, him putting you on JJ perhaps. Just my 2¢ |
