Okay, until this week I have only played live games. Most lately, Live 4/8 here in Los Angeles. I've been doing fairly well at 4/8 in the casinos, so I thought I'd try online.
I have been playing .50/1 on Stars... and getting CREAMED! Damn - I must really really suck! I've tightened up my pre flop play, still being aggressive when I hit the flop, and STILL my chart looks like a friggin ski slope DOWN. Ugh. I must be missing something. I'm thinking I need to tighten my post flop play too - though I'm not sure how, without losing aggression. My stats are in the vicinity of 29/8/4 - so, I'm guessing I need to play even tighter PF, and perhaps drop more hands post flop? Maybe NL is a better game for me... AB |

I've read SSHE more than 3 times over - it was instrumental in improving my live game... But my ONLINE play over the last 2K hands is so ABYSMAL - just learning PokerTracker - and looking for leaks.
Even the most premium hands are just break even - my downward slope is too "consistent" for just a bad patch of variance, I think - I believe I am just playing VERY poorly online. One thing I notice is that I lose my best quality - my abiity to read live players - when I'm online I feel like I'm in the dark. I have GameTime+ and using the HUD while playing but... UGH! AB |

29/8/4 are pretty terrible stats. I'd re-read sshe again and make sure you actually understand what you are reading.

Did you go to school to be an as*hole, or did you take one of those correspondence courses on the back of a match book? 'Cuz you're good at it. AB |

try pp [/ QUOTE ] Is that party poker? I'll give it a shot. The competition on Stars seems mostly too tight to extract much money - I'm finding tables with no more than one fish, and that not enough for the rest to fight over. I did do better last night - I tightened up by post-flop play and made alot more laydowns than before. My GameTime+ HUD has been helpful - instqamuck to aggression from TAGs, and going for overcalls with very strong hands seems to be helping. AB |

AB [/ QUOTE ] Not really...there is no way of knowing if he is right or not because you haven't even mentioned how many hands make these stats up. Is that 50 hands, where those stats may be acceptable if starting hands have been better than average, or is that 20,000 hands indicating you are looser than my grandpa's scrotal skin? |

And if you had taken the time it took to come up with such a snazzy reply to read the FAQ for microlimits you would know those are pretty terrible stats. But by all means, keep [censored] on people trying to help you, that's always a great first impression. |
