I like National Geographic, other suggestions
I picked up a copy National Geographic this weekend and once I started reading it I couldn't put it down until finished. My family always had a subscription growing up but besides some brief flip throughs at a doctors/dentist office I never really read one as an adult.
What are some other magazine suggestions I may enjoy similar in quality and subject to National Geographic? I also picked up a copy of Discover magazine, which is much smaller but haven't read through it yet. |

Re: I like National Geographic, other suggestions
Believe it or not, you may like The New Yorker and Vanity Fair (ignore the pretty photos, the writing is the best in the field).

Re: I like National Geographic, other suggestions
The New Yorker is the one that has David Sedaris, that's cool. It seems to generate a negative reaction. What exactly is the main problem people have with it.
I'll pick up the lasest issue of both this week. Thanks. |

If your into science etc not just travel/exotic locales
I subscribe to Popular Science, Discover, National Geographic Adventure, Outside, Scientific American etc I learn [censored]/scientific theories i had no clue about. ie. Cortez and company/smallpox didn't really wipe out the Aztecs..its was a virus similar to ebola..may have also taken out the Mayans. |

I was gonna make a joke about you liking African flapjack titties but I don't wan't to get banned so here's an actual recommendation. Archaeology Odyssey is an excellent magazine in the same vein as Nat'l Geo.

I'm not sure how this magazine differs from National Geographic itself though. |
