Default Help me have the best first time cigar experience.

I've never smoked a cigar (or cigarette for that matter) before. I'd like to enjoy a cigar and a fine scotch (or two) on my next trip to AC. The Taj will be my base of operations.

Cigar aficionados and connoisseurs or scotch, please do your part to ensure that my experience will be beyond awesome. What's the best cigar for a first timer? What should my choice of scotch be? How much should I expect to spend? If you're familiar with the Taj or Caesar's which is right down the boardwalk, is there a particular bar inside where I should go?

oh yeah..................

and how do you smoke a cigar?

Don't inhale, just suck the smoke into your mouth and then either blow it out your nose or exhale it. If you've never smoked a cigar or cigarette before and you inhale it, you will get a huge nicotine high.

WTF? Dear God, no. Do NOT attempt to blow cigar smoke out of your nose. Jesus, who are you?

Poke it in a fat girl who's your intern and then deny all allegations to the public...

If you've never done either, you probably aren't going to like it. Also, our recommendations aren't going to matter too much, as you will likely not yet be able to tell the difference in really good and average. First, just see if you like scotch and cigars, then worry about finding the best.

James,

I like scotch, but normally drink the cheap blended Johnnie Walker stuff or J&B, so if I wanted to try a good single malt I wouldn't even know what to order.. much less what would be considered above average and still reasonably priced.

Keep in mind that I'm not looking for the "best" cigar, just the best one for someone who has never smoked one before... kind of like how you'd probably recommend a light beer or a mixed drink to someone who has never consumed alcohol before instead of a shot of tequila.
