Default 89 suited in MP2

Hi guys, not been playing much poker recently because of exams. Feeling a bit out of touch so I'd like to know your take on how I played this hand. No reads on any of the opponents, played 20 or so hands and seen nothing extraordinary. All quite tight and very little raising.

PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, 2 folds, SB completes, BB checks.

SB checks, BB bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (6 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

normally i would like the way you played the hand, though if table is "quite tight" i would consider possibly folding preflop given your position. and the river *could* be a check though i suspect even against tight opponents, betting may still be correct as it doesn't seem like you have any reason to believe you are beat.

without reads I can only repeat the old maxim "aggression wins pots" I'm thinking someone in the gaggle, though, is a loose passive calling station and had a T.

After they all called on the turn, I would have checked behind on the river....You're going to see a better 9 or a T here a lot....they don't all have busted straight draws.
