Default .50/1 - Folded Full House - Please Grill Me

I can't post hand histories from this site, but here are the details. Again, please tell me I made the right move..

Hero (177.95) is SB
Villain (156.50) is Button

Down cards - Jd5h

Villain calls
Hero calls

Flop: 59J

Hero checks
Villain bets $4.00
Hero Calls

Turn: J

Villain bets $15
Hero calls

River: Q

Villain is all-in $136.20
Hero Folds

My only explanation is he knows I have a jack, and most players at this micro-limit are going to call an all-in with trips. Stupid, or good fold?

Your flop and turn play were stupid. The river fold is marginal, since he's going to pull this play with 55, 99, J9, QJ, QQ, maybe AJ/KJ, and maybe 8T/KT. You beat all except J9/QJ/QQ, and QQ is unlikely. I would have called.

I would have folded preflop.
I would have bet the flop, and re-raised a raise.
I would have bet the turn, and re-raised a raise.
I would have bet (or pushed depending on what's left) the river, and pushed a raise.

man, you played this hand BAD!

You should fold this trash PF from the SB

you HAVE TO MUST MUST MUST lead this flop, the whole hand is SO much easier to play.

I presume you checked the turn? (action is messed up) I you did, again, you gotta lead it.

I have no idea what happened on the river....did you check? Also, was there a flush draw out at any point?? Eitherway, this looks a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE fold on the river

There were 6 callers in the hand, and it was .50 more to get in, so I went with it. I asked him what he had, he said KJ. Looking back, I agree with everything you have said, I just missed out at $150 i guess.

What more do you want from J5? Flopped quads? I'm betting and raising every street, trying to get all in.

cornflake,

why ON EARTH would you call j5o preflop if you get THE PERFECT PERFECT board and still fold?

Thanks guys, you know I have no explanation for your questions. It'll only make me better. On another note, I'm up $600 today, maybe mood affected my decision (not wanting to lose it that easily)

cornflake,

if the money means that much to you that you're making bad decisions, I suggest moving down stakes.

Also, you seem to realise how bad a fold it was on hte river, but I just want to make sure you realise that just as bad was not leading or raising the flop...you flopped a monster...get some money in the pot!

The money isnt a problem, I'm properly bankrolled for it ($1000), I just was lost that hand I guess. Maybe for the fact that im playing J5.
