Play higher. That's where the better players like Hellmuth play. You'll find your raises get alot more respect. Plus, bonus will clear faster I believe.

You'll also find that you're losing a lot more money than the bonus you're clearing if you play against hellmuth

Re: The .5/1 games on UB suck.
I have found UB cash games to be generally horrible, full of nits and shortstacks (I have not played above 200NL at UB btw.)

Re: The .5/1 games on UB suck.
I disagree that these games suck. If you play exclusively TAG, they are not as fun say, as Party, but if you are willing to experiment with your play, they can be a good learning place. I have had a good amount of success at these tables playing like an absolute maniac, albiet with fairly large swings. The bet pot button drastically changes the game, but after a fair amount of experience with it, you can definately use it to you advantage. I would suggest one-tabling, and trying to mix-up your play frequently. I agree that the opponents here play a little on the weak-tight side, but think about using this to your advantage. I feel playing at UB in these games gives me a good, though challenging experience. I have found it to be the best place to work on manipulating opponents at small stakes.
