another consideration is that by calling and losing my image is ruined and fold equity is shot to death

so im stuck with a short stack whos got to wait for a hand

You definitely need to fold here preflop with your stack. You don't want to put yourself in this position of pricing yourself in to call a push with 7 high.

I have you with equity of 34% against his range of any pair, any two face cards and A6+, and you aren't quite getting 2-1, so I would fold here.

What is average stack, like 40k? I normally don't fold here getting 2-1, but I think given how close we are and your stack folding is better than calling. Obviously losing fold equity sucks big time. Also, if you call and lose, you are short enough that the other stacks know they can hurt you. Keeping a 75k stack will decrease their desire to resteal from you.

I would only raise to 7500 preflop at this level. Pretty much from like 150/300 level on, I only go to 2.5 or 2.67 big blinds when I open.

I hope right now you are restealing a ton. 5 handed guys are not gonna pick up hands, so even in a normal setting restealing should be stepped up here, but with the satellite situation and your stack, you could really pick up some chips this way.
