It feels really wierd to say that you should call with the second nut nothing, getting less than 7:1, but I think this is actually a call here.

I just can't seeing villain being timid enough to check behind on the turn with a K or T, but bold enough to raise you here. Your river bet looks so much like a desperation stab that I a lot of players would try to steal here.

Why did you bet the river? What better hand is folding? What worse hand is calling?

Yeah, I meant to say that too: check the river. Your river bet has virtually no value.

I agree that the river bet was a big mistake.

How about betting the turn.? If you get called you have a few outs.

Given that he was a poster and didn't call the full raise, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him pushing with a busted flush and a mid pair, something like A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or a weak K - especially after you've shown weakness on the turn. If the first 4 didn't help you, the second sure as hell didn't. There's always the chance, too, that he was sitting on A4s and gave it a shot for $3 preflop.

I bet the turn, and let the river check through. In your situation, I don't feel bad at all folding the river.
