Seems like there is a lot of anti-loud propaganda going around these days. How loud do you usually listen?

I voted 80%, but the earbuds are really don't fit well in my ears, so I'm sure there is leakage.

About 70%. My ears have started bothering me lately, too. Have only been using it for about 6 months or so.

I usually listen through a tape-adapter, so I'm modifying the iPod volume via the car stereo's volume.

I have the iPod set to ~75% so it's loud enough to send a strong signal, but not so loud that it hits the peaks of the adapter.

Totally depends on the song/atmosphere. Most of my listening is on the bus, which is really loud, so it's up pretty high. Typically 80%, but it changes with the song.

I go about 30% with my shures, anything else and not only do my ears hurt, but I cant tell wtf is going on around me at all
