10-20 AJ hand OOP what\'s my play
3 handed 10-20 on Party. The game has been fairly aggressive PF with lot's of RR'ing steals from button raises. My image is that I'm fairly straight foward and not overly aggressive with my hands - both player have seen mwe check raise AI with a flush draw (I showed this).
I'm playing alongside UPay4MyCrib (tightish player) $8000 stack and iDESTROYu_ (fairly loose and VILLAIN in this hand) $3000ish. I am sitting with $4000. I am dealt Ad Jd Crib raises $80 on button, I decide to flat call this, Villian decides to pop it up to $280 (which he has done the last few orbits) Crib folds....and I decide to flat call this RR. Flop - Ac Qc 3x Looks like quite a good flop for me as I might of outdrawn Villain's PP - I decided to check to him since his betting often. Villian bets $400 What should my action be here? I think his range he could possibly have an ace and continue to bet since I've seen him do it before. Should I be raising this to see where I am or would it off been better to lead? I call....turn comes another 3x I check, and Villian shoves. . . I'm starting to hate this hand. . . |

Re: 10-20 AJ hand OOP what\'s my play
AJ OOP is not where I want to be in a raised pot vs an AGGRO player.

Great game selection.
As for the hand, I dunno - CR flop? Lead flop? It's just a bad, bad spot - I prob dump this to the 2nd raise given that you flat called the 1st. D |

Re: 10-20 AJ hand OOP what\'s my play
With so much re-raising going on pre-flop, and with stacks this deep, take control of the hand and re-raise from the small here instead of calling. If you get 3-bet, dump it obviously. Cold-call from the BB is not that likely, but if it happens, at least you'll have a better sense of his range.
As played, dump it I guess. |

Re: 10-20 AJ hand OOP what\'s my play
With so much raising and RR taking place I think this is a time to dump AJ preflop. I would also even think before calling the 80 becasue as you said the Button has jacked it to 240 everytime and will problby do it again. Therefore you are going to have to play a big pot with AJ and you will be in a bad position like you are now once you flop your ace. Fold preflop in my books

Why ask for advice, and then lie about who you are in the hand.. seems like par for the course around here anyway.

Re: 10-20 AJ hand OOP what\'s my play
Flat calling with the AJ pre is not often a great idea. Flat calling the reraise is even more dubious.
By putting yourself in this situation you've committed to play a big pot with one pair. Here's your chance. |
