In a lot of tournaments out there, it's probably not a bad idea. The wsop preliminaries and a lot of the smaller tournaments don't have that many chips.

Never folding AK preflop is as delectable as dipping my bottom over and over into a bath of the silkiest oils and creams.

I've heard Ferguson give a lot of advice, especially regarding bet sizing, which seemed strange to me, but i guess its works for him. Either that or he's been running really hot in recent years.

whats strange about discussing bet sizing? only thing that makes it strange is that noone else talks about it.

I don't think he's been running hot. Every time I see him play, he gets sucked out on right and left. Horrendous beats. Remember the WPT episode where he got it all in pre-flop with AA vs. Villian's (can't remember his name) AT and villian makes a straight? It doesn't get much worse than that.

I don't think he's saying that it's strange to discuss bet sizing. I think he's saying that the advice Jesus gives in regard to bet sizing is strange.
