Default 5/10NL Stars 5-Handed. Top pair on turn + FD against big raise.

How is my line here. SB is "akestler". I have played with him a few times only at the shorthanded tables and he seems to be LAG. I probably have a LAG image too.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (5 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

UTG ($1566)
Hero ($1350)
Button ($547.75)
SB ($1569.25)
BB ($1369)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $40</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB calls $35, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($90) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $60</font>, SB calls $60.

Turn: ($210) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $150</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $600</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1250 all in.</font>

Why not check behind the turn?

Granted, a turn check-raise from the villain won't make you "throw up", but I don't think you're ever ahead here when he check-raises. Unfortunately, with your 7-14 outer (plus a small chance of being ahead), you're basically forced to push.

Since you always say you are playing LAG I have to believe this is slightly results oriented, please don't take this the wrong way since I respect your game and understand where you are coming from.

Can't really be said much better than that IMO. Had you made a post like this I wouldn't have said a thing.

Really? Not sure if this is sarcasm, but I think you are ahead here just about never. Check behind on turn was the play. But given that you bet and he raised, I think fold now, as gross as that seems.

I'm curious to why everyone thinks he's so far behind here. That's such a dangerous flop it's likely that a big hand like a set / 2 pair would raise it then. If the villian is at all LAG I would also just move it in, expecting to be up against a smaller draw.
